"Look who came for dinner unexpectedly. 'Roachie' - a baby cockroach was on our table wanting to share our dinner at the Romano restaurant at JW Marriott , Sahar , Mumbai, Saturday night!!! Despite our persuasion 'Roachie' refused to leave. Maybe wanted Piazza and not Pasta. But he really took our appetite away. We left," his post read. In the video, a baby cockroach is seen running over the dining table at the restaurant.
In subsequent remarks to the media, Dr Seth characterised the lapse as "an embarrassment for the country" given the five-star setting, expressing concern that a visible floor sighting points to wider kitchen hygiene gaps. Speaking to NDTV Profit, Seth said, "We spotted one cockroach on the table, I am sure there will be more in the kitchen. This shows Marriott's extremely casual attitude towards hygiene".

Property management has initiated an internal review of pest-control logs at the award-winning Italian speciality restaurant, though formal regulatory findings or penalty orders from the FDA have not been issued regarding the specific incident.
