New Delhi, February 5: Amid growing public discourse and concerns over the welfare of children in the national capital, the Delhi Police on Thursday reiterated that there is no sudden spurt in cases of missing children in Delhi and urged citizens not to fall prey to rumours or misleading claims.
Days after data showed that 807 people were reported missing in Delhi between January 1 and 15, 2026, the police clarified that the figures actually reflect a decline compared to the same period in previous years. According to official data accessed by PTI, an average of 54 people were reported missing daily, including 191 minors and 616 adults. Of the total, 509 were women and girls, while 298 were men.┬аDelhi: Over 800 People Including Women and Girls Reported Missing in First 15 Days; 235 Successfully Traced.
