New Delhi, September 26: A three-storey building collapsed near Sawan Park in Ashok Vihar Phase 3 in New Delhi on Wednesday morning. According to a tweet by ANI, Eight people have been rescued and sent to the hospital after the tragic incident. In the horrifying incident, Four children and a woman died after the building collapsed on them.

Reports inform that rescue operation is currently underway. More details on the same are awaited.

Two teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) prepared for Ashok Vihar where a three-storey building has collapsed.

The reason for the collapse is yet to be ascertained. It is believed that several people are feared trapped in the debris. An investigation into the matter has been initiated.

Previously in Ghaziabad, two builders were arrested for illegal construction of a five-storey building which collapsed and killed two people after the under-construction building collapsed.
