Allegations Made in Final Video

In the video recorded before his death, Rahul alleged that he had married Jyoti, also known as Preeti, in a love marriage two years ago. Rahul alleged that despite performing household chores such as sweeping, mopping and washing utensils, he was repeatedly assaulted and humiliated. He also claimed that his wife wanted to live separately from his parents and had recently filed a false assault case against him, which added to his emotional distress.

The allegations made in the video have not been independently verified and are being treated as part of the ongoing police investigation.

Based on the family's complaint and the contents of the video, Sector 3 Police have registered a case against Rahul's wife, her parents and her sister. Investigating officer Ajeet Singh said police have launched a detailed probe and are examining the allegations made in the video while collecting other evidence and recording statements of those connected to the case. Further legal action will depend on the outcome of the investigation.

Family Seeks Justice

In his final message, Rahul sought legal action against those he accused of harassment. He also stated that his property should be inherited by his mother, siblings and other family members. His family has demanded a thorough investigation and strict action against the accused, maintaining that prolonged harassment drove him to take the extreme step.

It has also renewed conversations around domestic disputes, mental health and the importance of impartial investigations in cases involving allegations of harassment.
