Gurugram Police Raids 18 Spa Centres at Sapphire 90 Mall, 30 Women Detained (Video)

Gurugram Police, along with the Haryana State Commission for Women, conducted a six-hour joint raid at 18 spa centres at Sapphire 90 Mall in Sector 90 on Friday night over suspected illegal activities. The operation was carried out from 10 pm to 3 am in the presence of Haryana State Commission for Women chairperson Usha Priyadarshini, her team and the Duty Magistrate.

Around 100 police personnel, including nearly 20 inspectors and sub-inspectors, participated in the operation. Suspected Illegal Activities Found at 8 Spa Centres

Police conducted simultaneous searches at all 18 spa centres and found prima facie evidence of suspected illegal activities at eight establishments. The investigation is focused on establishing the alleged network and determining the roles of spa owners, operators, managers and other facilitators.

30 Women, 20 Men Found at Premises

According to police, around 30 women and 20 men were found at the spa centres during the raids. The women are being questioned to establish their circumstances and determine whether any organised chain or network was involved.

The role of the men found at the premises is also being verified. Police said further legal action will be taken based on the evidence gathered during the investigation.

Further Investigation Underway

The preliminary investigation and proceedings were conducted by ACP Headquarters-I, who is also the designated Special Police Officer. Further investigation will be carried out by the SHO of Kherki Daula police station.

Gurugram Police said it has a zero-tolerance approach towards organised illegal activities allegedly being conducted under the guise of legitimate commercial establishments. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
