The deceased, identified as Ankush, was a resident of Hanuman Nagar in Faridabad. According to family members, he had been observing a fast on Thursday and consumed the mango-flavoured drink at home along with relatives to end it.
Soon after drinking the beverage, Ankush allegedly began vomiting and complained of severe abdominal pain. Doctors at the hospital reportedly advised that he be shifted to a higher medical facility due to the seriousness of his condition. He was subsequently taken to another hospital in Faridabad, where doctors recommended immediate transfer to Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital for advanced treatment.

Khedi Pul police station SHO Devendra Singh said the police were informed by the hospital around 1.30 am that a man had been brought dead. During questioning, the family stated that Ankush had broken his fast with a Frooti drink before developing severe symptoms.
Police recorded the family's statement and sent the body for post-mortem examination. After the procedure, the body was handed over to the family.
"The exact cause of death will be ascertained only after the post-mortem report is received, and further action will be taken accordingly," SHO Devendra Singh said.
The case remains under investigation, and officials are awaiting forensic and post-mortem findings before drawing any conclusions regarding the cause of death.
