Is Alka Lamba in Relationship With KC Venugopal? Tamil Nadu Mahila Congress Chief Hazeena Syed’s Alleged Claims Go Viral
A major Congress controversy erupted after M. Hazeena Syed accused Alka Lamba of harassment and financial misconduct, and alleged a ‘relationship’ with KC Venugopal. The claims surfaced after her expulsion, which she says came after her resignation.
An explosive internal feud has rocked the Congress party after Tamil Nadu Mahila Congress chief M. Hazeena Syed publicly accused senior leaders of harassment, financial misconduct, and abuse of power following her exit. The controversy erupted after the All India Mahila Congress expelled Syed, citing “anti-party activities.”
However, Syed hit back within hours, claiming she had already resigned before the expulsion order was issued. In a series of strongly worded posts and emails, she directly targeted Alka Lamba and made sensational personal allegations that quickly went viral on social media.
Expulsion vs Resignation Row
The All India Mahila Congress, led by Alka Lamba, issued an official order on April 10, 2026, removing Syed from her post with immediate effect, citing disciplinary concerns. Hazeena Syed Removed as Tamil Nadu Mahila Congress Chief over ‘Anti-Party’ Activities.

But Syed contested the move, stating she had already resigned during a press conference earlier that day. She shared her resignation letter dated April 9, claiming her “dignity and self-respect” had been compromised within the party.
In her resignation, she wrote, “I feel that my dignity and self-respect have been compromised and it is no longer possible for me to continue in this position…”
She also alleged that her appeals to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge went unheard, accusing the party leadership of backing a “corrupt system” in Tamil Nadu. Explosive Allegations Against Leaders
The controversy intensified after Syed posted a series of allegations on X, accusing Alka Lamba of harassment and financial irregularities linked to membership funds.
In one of her posts, Syed wrote:
“What kind of a saddist you are, you don’t help any of us in mahila congress but harass us in the name of membership and loot money and enjoy your life…”
She further escalated the matter by making a personal allegation involving senior Congress leader K. C. Venugopal. In an email screenshot she shared, Syed wrote: “go and show your ego to your boyfriend K.C. Venugopal not me.”
Syed also warned of legal action, stating she possesses “legal proofs” and may file an FIR over alleged “illegitimate account transaction” and “membership fraudulence.”
Claims of Harassment and Internal Bias
Syed alleged that harassment within the Mahila Congress was a key reason behind her resignation. She questioned the auditing of party funds and accused leadership of misusing resources for personal luxury.
She further claimed that Tamil Nadu Congress president Selvaperunthagai acted with bias and denied her an assembly election ticket due to personal interests.
In another strongly worded message, she said:
“Mind you and keep your nastiness with you… behave yourself and beware of your chamchas.”
Political Fallout
The public spat has exposed sharp internal divisions within the Congress, particularly within its women’s wing. While the party has not officially responded to the fresh allegations, the controversy has gained traction online due to the personal nature of the claims.
Notably, Syed also referenced Lamba’s past association with the Aam Aadmi Party, adding another layer to the political attack.
As of now, the allegations remain unverified, and no official investigation or legal action has been confirmed.
