Villagers Allege Safety Lapses
Residents alleged that mandatory line clearance had not been obtained before the repair work began. They also claimed that no lineman or Gescom official was present at the site during the maintenance operation.
The incident has raised concerns over safety protocols followed during electrical repair work involving contract workers.
Police Register Case
A case has been registered at the Ballari Rural Police Station, and an investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances that led to the fatal accident. Authorities are expected to examine whether prescribed safety procedures were followed before the repair work commenced.
