Kerala: Man Uploads Wife's Intimate Videos on P*rn Websites and Performs S*x Act in Front of Daughter; Arrested

A 31-year-old man was arrested in Kottiyam, Kerala, for allegedly uploading his wife's private videos to p*rnographic websites and committing a s*xual act in front of their four-year-old daughter. The accused, a native of Mayyanad, had previously lived in the United Kingdom with his family before returning to Kerala, where police took him into custody following a formal complaint and subsequent legal pressure.

Investigation and Discovery

The case came to light after the victim was informed by friends that her intimate videos were circulating online while the family resided abroad, reports PTI. After the family returned to Kerala, the accused underwent a brief period of counselling. However, police reports indicate he recorded another similar video involving the child thereafter. When the woman confronted him again, he allegedly assaulted her, resulting in hospitalisation and prompting authorities to record her statement and file initial charges.

Legal Action and Allegations

Following an examination of the video evidence, police expanded the case to include charges under the Protection of Children from S*xual Offences (POCSO) Act. Although the accused briefly went into hiding, law enforcement eventually traced and arrested him. “She never agreed to it. He was an engineering dropout and had accompanied his wife to the UK. It appears that even after counselling, he continued with the alleged offences,” Advocate Kurup said. Legal counsel also pointed to initial delays and procedural lapses by local authorities before the victim prepared to approach the Kerala High Court, which ultimately expedited the investigation and led to the arrest.
