New Delhi, September 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to attend the mega 'Howdy Modi' event on Sunday in Houston, Texas. The grand event will see a 50,000 crowd of Indian diaspora gather. The event will also be attended by US President Donald Trump in a rare gesture. Modi, who arrived in Houston on Saturday, met and interacted with members of Dawoodi Bohra community, Sikh community and Kashmiri Pandits. The Prime Minister is scheduled to address the Indian community at the mega 'Howdy, Modi!' event on September 22 at the NRG stadium. Modi in Houston: Prime Minister Receives Warm Welcome, MEA Terms Meeting With CEOs From Energy Sector As âFruitfulâ.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) informed that Modi had a âfruitfulâ meeting with CEOs from the energy sector on the first day of his week-long US visit. It added that the meeting focussed on working together for energy security and expanding mutual investment opportunities between India and the United States.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate a 50KW 'Gandhi Solar Park' at the UN on September 24 as part of India's commitment to boost renewable energy and combat climate change. It is the first time that solar energy will be produced at the UN headquarters in New York.
