With a strength of 60,000 personnel, including 51 companies of paramilitary forces and 13,500 home guards from three states, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh, the national capital is all set for the polling day.

In an unfortunate incident in Gujarat, a gas cylinder exploded at a scrap shop in Banaskantha. Several people were admitted to a hospital after the gas cylinder exploded in a scrap shop near the Malan Darwaja of Palanpur, Banaskantha. An official of Palanpur Civil Hospital said people had difficulty breathing after the gas spread in the area.

Campaigning for the penultimate phase of Lok Sabha elections to be held in 58 constituencies across six states and two Union territories, including all the seven seats in Delhi ended today, May 23. Besides Delhi, polling for the sixth round of the seven-phase elections will be held on Saturday, May 25, in 14 seats in Uttar Pradesh, all 10 seats of Haryana, eight seats each in Bihar and West Bengal, six seats in Odisha, four seats in Jharkhand and one seat in Jammu and Kashmir.
