Two workers were killed and another was injured after part of an under-construction hospital collapsed in Punjab’s Mohali on Thursday night. The incident took place at a construction site in Sector 82 of Aerocity, with rescue teams deployed to search the debris for anyone who may still be trapped NDTV reported.

The incident occurred at an under-construction hospital located near Airport Road in Mohali’s Sector 82. Initial reports described the collapse as involving part of the building structure, while subsequent reports said a portion of a mud wall fell on workers at the site. According to police, two people were pulled from the rubble and were declared dead. Another worker was injured and taken for medical treatment. A senior police officer said workers at the site believed there might not be anyone else buried under the debris. However, rescue operations were continuing to ensure that no one remained trapped. The identities of the deceased workers had not been released in the initial reports.

Cause of Collapse Under Investigation

Authorities have not yet established the exact cause of the collapse.
