Indore, December 30: The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has announced a robust three-layer security framework to be implemented across all competitive examinations starting in early 2026. Designed to eliminate impersonation and technical cheating, the new measures will become mandatory for all recruitment tests advertised from December 2025 onwards, with the first major rollout expected during the March–April 2026 examination cycle.

The first layer of the new security protocol focuses on digital monitoring. Every examination hall across the state will be equipped with CCTV cameras capable of live-streaming footage. This data will be fed directly to a central control room at the MPPSC headquarters in Indore, allowing officials to monitor centers in real time and intervene immediately if any irregularities are detected. Madhya Pradesh: Viral Video Shows MPPSC Officer Priyanka Kadam, Who Was Selected Under Disability Quota, Dancing on Stage; Row Erupts Over Recruitment Process.

Biometric and Aadhaar-Based Verification for Exam

The second layer introduces high-tech candidate authentication to ensure that only registered applicants enter the hall. Traditional admit cards will now feature encrypted QR codes that provide instant access to candidate profiles when scanned. To further prevent impersonation, the commission will employ:

  • Biometric Authentication: Mandatory fingerprinting and iris scanning at the entrance.
  • Aadhaar Integration: Cross-referencing candidate data with Aadhaar-based identification for foolproof verification.

The third layer involves physical screening using hand-held metal detectors. Security personnel will screen every candidate to detect prohibited electronic devices, such as micro-Bluetooth earpieces or mobile phones, which have historically been used for unfair means in competitive tests. New UPSC Chairman: Former Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar Takes Over As Head of Union Public Service Commission.

The decision to overhaul security comes amid nationwide concerns regarding the integrity of high-stakes competitive exams. MPPSC Chairman Dr. Rajesh Lal Mehra confirmed that the commission has reissued tenders to appoint a specialized agency to manage this technological framework.

The MPPSC conducts an average of 20 to 22 examinations annually, including the State Service Examination and Assistant Professor recruitments, which often see participation numbers ranging from 40,000 to over 200,000 candidates. Officials believe these measures will align MPPSC standards with national testing agencies and restore public confidence in the state’s recruitment process.
