The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a firm directive to all medical colleges and institutes holding a valid Letter of Permission (LoP) for MBBS programmes to submit their Annual Disclosure Report on the NMC portal by 30 May 2026. The submission is a mandatory prerequisite for the renewal of undergraduate medical seats for the academic year 2026-27, and the NMC has made it explicitly clear that no extensions will be granted under any circumstances.

What Is the Annual Disclosure Report and Why Does It Matter?

The Annual Disclosure Report is a regulatory requirement under Regulation 4 of the Maintenance of Standards of Medical Education Regulations, 2023 (MSMER 2023). It must be filed through the NMC portal by all medical institutions holding a valid LoP. Without this submission, seat renewal applications for the 2026-27 academic year cannot be processed by the Under Graduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB). CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 Announced: Overall Pass Percentage Drops to 85.20%, Girls Outshine Boys Again.

Key Requirements for Filing

Medical colleges must ensure their Aadhaar-Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) is registered with the NMC before attempting to access the portal, as unregistered institutions will be unable to log in. Login credentials including usernames and passwords have already been dispatched to nodal officers of each medical college. The UGMEB has made a detailed user manual available on the portal, and colleges have been advised to review it carefully before filing. CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 Announced: Trivandrum Tops, Chennai Second in Pass Percentage; Documents Available on DigiLocker.

Crucially, all data submitted must be accurate and consistent across all boards. Once an application is submitted, no edits will be permitted. The NMC also reserves the right to make submitted information public if deemed appropriate.

Application Fee and Payment Process

All medical colleges are required to pay a fee of INR 3,54,000 inclusive of 18% GST, payable exclusively through the portal's online payment gateway. No offline or alternative payment modes will be accepted.

Deadline Is Final: Act Before May 30

NMC Secretary Dr. Raghav Langer has written directly to the Directors, Principals, and Deans of all affiliated medical institutions reiterating the May 30 deadline and directing full compliance with UGMEB instructions. Medical colleges are strongly advised to complete registration, review the user manual, and submit the Annual Disclosure Report well before the deadline to avoid jeopardising their MBBS seat renewal for 2026-27.
