According to police, when a team reached the spot, the child’s mother informed them that her husband, Vikas, a native of Shahjahanpur district, had punched their five-year-old son, Akash.

The boy fell unconscious after the alleged incident. His mother rushed him to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Police have sent the child’s body for a post-mortem examination.
