The group included 20 MPs from the Nationalist Citizens Party of India (NCPI) - a party formed by rebel Trinamool Congress (TMC) legislators - and six former Shiv Sena (Uddhav camp) MPs who recently aligned with the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena.
Addressing the assembly, the Prime Minister emphasised that the NDA operates as a unified "family". He sought to integrate the newer partners into the coalition’s working rhythm, assuring them that all constituent parties would receive equal respect and opportunity within the House. "I am with every MP, not just one constituent party of the NDA. I stand with every MP of the NDA. You don't need to worry about anyone," he stated.

Asserting that Parliament is the "supreme temple of democracy," PM Modi expressed concern over recent legislative disruptions. He noted that frequent uproar has consistently deprived newer MPs of the opportunity to participate in debates, which he termed "unfair."

Sunetra Pawar assumed the position of Deputy Chief Minister in February 2026, following the death of her husband, Ajit Pawar. The senior leader and former Deputy CM died on January 28, 2026, when his chartered Learjet 45 crashed during a landing attempt in heavy fog near the Baramati airport in Pune district. Since his passing, Sunetra Pawar has taken on a central role in both the party and the state administration.
