Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address the nation virtually on Wednesday, October 7, via the "Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha", marking the completion of 25 years of his public service. The address coincides with statewide events organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), including the "Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra" held across districts and metropolitan areas to mark a quarter-century of his leadership, first as Gujarat Chief Minister and subsequently as Prime Minister.
National Address and 'Viksit Bharat @ 2047' Pledge
During the virtual address at approximately 9:00 AM, Prime Minister Modi will administer a collective pledge for the creation of "Viksit Bharat @ 2047". The nationwide "Seva Sankalp Yatra", which commenced on September 17, culminates on October 7 in Vadnagar, Gujarat, and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh - two key locations historically tied to the Prime Minister’s birthplace and political career, reports IANS. Statewide Celebrations and Concluding Events
Following the Prime Minister's address, local leaders will light the ceremonial "Seva Jyot", initiating the "Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra" from designated hubs across regions. In Gujarat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will participate in the Ahmedabad programme at Pujya Pramukh Swami Marg-Riverfront Road. Concluding events in Vadnagar will feature prominent leaders, including Chief Minister Patel, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and state party officials, alongside a traditional water-offering ceremony at the historic Hatkeshwar Mahadev Temple. State government spokesperson and Minister Jitu Vaghani noted that extensive youth-led social activities, including tree plantations, cleanliness drives, water conservation projects, and old-age home assistance, have been carried out throughout the month-long campaign.
