Prayagraj, September 15: One person died after a blast occurred at a residential place in Korav area of Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj district. Two people are also reportedly injured in the blast. The house belonged to a person involved in the production of firecrackers. The injured were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. However, the exact cause of the blast is still not clear. Police have started an investigation into the matter. Earlier this month, at least 23 people were killed and more than 25 injured in a blast at an unauthorised firecracker factory in Batala town in Punjab's Gurdaspur district. The owner of the factory also lost his life in the explosion. The Punjab government had announced an ex-gratia of Rs two lakh to the kin of deceased, whereas, Rs 50,000 was provided to those who were severely injured.
