A 19-year-old social media influencer with thousands of online followers has been arrested for her alleged involvement in a copper wire theft operation at a local construction site in Maharashtra's Latur. The Arrest and Confession of Instagram Influencer

The arrest was executed by a specialised team from the Local Crime Branch, operating under the direct supervision of Police Inspector Sudhakar Bawkar. Officers intercepted the suspect, identified as Priya Jitendra Kamble, on Wednesday, May 28, near a local school facility. Mumbai: Man Molests Instagram Influencer Near Radisson Hotel Bridge in Malad, Arrested.

During the subsequent custodial interrogation, Kamble allegedly confessed to entering an under-construction project site located near Buddha Vihar in the Prakash Nagar locality. According to investigators, she admitted to extracting copper wiring from the premises and later selling the industrial material to regional scrap dealers for financial gain.

Social Media Profile of Accused and Asset Recovery

During the administrative processing of the suspect, investigators discovered that Kamble maintained a significant digital footprint. She operated an active Instagram account under the pseudonym "Queen Reel Star", where she had accumulated an audience of nearly 32,000 followers. Following her statement, police personnel recovered INR 41,000 in cash from her possession. Investigators state they have reason to believe that the recovered currency constitutes the direct monetary proceeds generated from the unauthorised sale of the stolen copper components.

An official criminal case regarding the copper wire theft had previously been registered at the MIDC police station prior to her apprehension. Following her arrest by the Local Crime Branch, custody of Kamble was formally transferred to the MIDC station house officer. Regional authorities are continuing a broader administrative probe to determine if the suspect was operating independently or in coordination with an organised scrap distribution network.
