Jaipur, March 8: In a narrow escape, a pilot onboard the MiG-21 aircraft was ejected safely after the plane met an accident. The incident was reported in Rajasthan's Nal region, which is close to the border with Pakistan in Bikaner. The injured pilot has been rushed to medical attention, with his condition reported to be safe and stable.

Reports claimed that the MiG-21 plane, which crashed in Nal, was on a routine mission. Although technical malfunction is being suspected, the exact cause of the accident is yet to be determined. The aircraft accident comes four days after the Indian Air Force (IAF) shot down a Pakistan military's unmanned aerial vehicle at the Bikaner border. The Pakistani drone was struck using the Sukhoi-30 aircraft at around 11:30 AM on Monday.

On February 27, six Indian airmen had died after the MiG-17 they were aboard crashed in Jammu & Kashmir's Budgam. One civilian were also killed in the accident.
