Bhopal, November 21: A 17-year-old Class 11 student from a private school in Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa district allegedly died by suicide after leaving behind a handwritten note accusing her teacher of physical harassment. A case has been registered and a probe has been launched.

The teenager was found hanging at her home on November 16, news agency PTI reported. In the note recovered from her notebook, the student alleged that her teacher regularly punished her under the guise of discipline and behaved inappropriately. She claimed the teacher would grip her hand tightly, press a pen between her fingers as “punishment,” and often hold her hand while making inappropriate remarks about its warmth. ‘Papa, I Am Not Feeling Well’: 19-Year-Old BSc Student From Kalyan Dies by Suicide After Commuters on Local Train Thrash Him for ‘Not Speaking Marathi’ Near Mumbai.

The girl’s family said she had shown no signs of distress at home and appeared “perfectly normal” before the incident. They have accused the teacher of torturing her at school and demanded that police examine her call records and interactions with school staff to uncover what led to the tragedy.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Aarti Singh said that all aspects of the case are being examined and that the contents of the note have been taken seriously. “A detailed investigation is underway,” she said. Thane Shocker: Student Dies by Suicide After Assault Over Hindi–Marathi Row on Mumbai Local Train.

The incident comes just days after the alleged suicide of a 16-year-old boy in Delhi, who reportedly jumped from the Rajendra Place Metro station after leaving a note accusing his teachers and headmaster of humiliation and mental harassment. The Delhi case sparked public outrage, with parents and students staging protests outside St Columba’s School demanding justice.
