Lucknow, June 3: SP Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Hariom Yadav has blamed the Samajwadi Party-Bahujan Samaj Party alliance for his party's poor performance in the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections. Out of Uttar Pradesh's 80 parliamentary seats, the Akhilesh Yadav's SP won only five while Mayawati's BSP won 10 seats. "Only Mayawati got benefited from the coalition, the Samajwadi Party faced huge losses. If the coalition hadn't happened, Mayawati would have been at 0 and SP would have won 25 seats. Yadav community voted for her but Behen Ji's vote share went to BJP," Hariom Yadav said speaking to news agency ANIMayawati Discusses 2019 Lok Sabha Election Results With Party Leaders.

This comes after the BSP held a meeting on Monday at the party headquarters. According to reports, the Mayawati's party has planned to contest the assembly by-polls alone in the state. Mayawati has blamed gathbandhan for the poor performance in the election. She also hinted that BSP is likely to part ways with SP, as she was very upset with the alliance.

Unhappy with BSP-SP-RLD alliance, Mayawati has asked party leaders to prepare for the upcoming election. A total of 11 assembly seats will go into the poll in Uttar Pradesh after MLAs who won Lok Sabha elections vacated their seats.
