After the woman alerted the driver, identified as Praveen, he stopped the bus and shut both doors to prevent the suspect from escaping. Viral videos show the woman slapping the accused while the driver confronts him. At one point, the driver is seen kicking the man after he allegedly spat on him. BMTC Driver Kicks Man Accused of S*xual Harassment
Social media posts claim the accused had allegedly boarded BMTC buses on the Hebbal-Manyata route multiple times and behaved inappropriately with women passengers. According to BMTC officials, the suspect got off the bus at the Manyata Tech Park bus stop, while the woman passenger later alighted at Babusapalya. Officials said no formal police complaint had been filed in connection with the incident.
Meanwhile, Bengaluru Police are reportedly in touch with BMTC officials to gather details and verify the sequence of events captured in the viral video.
