New Delhi, December 4: The Government has called for an all-party meeting on December 10, 2018 at 11 am ahead of Parliament winter session. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be present in the meeting, said news agency ANI. RSS Affiliate Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh Opposes Modi Government's Plan to Merge Labour Laws.

On November 14, the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs (CCPA) reportedly recommended the convening of the Winter Session of Parliament from December 11 to January 8.

The Winter Session of Parliament usually starts in November. However, it will be the second year in a row when it will begin in December.

The CCPA, headed by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, had met him at his residence, and deliberated on the dates of the session. The CCPA took various factors into consideration.

The CCPA has recommended that the winter session be held from December 11 to January 8, the sources said. The push for December 11 is largely due to the assembly elections in five states.

The session has been delayed this year due to Assembly Elections in five States. Assembly Elections in five states namely- Rajasthan, Madhya PradeshTelangana, Mizoram and Chhattisgarh  will take place in November and December and the results of the same will be declared on December 11.
