New Delhi, November 19: Congress leader Digvijaya Singh has given clarification on his number propping up in one of the letters exchanged by Naxals and said that,"the phone number they are mentioning is available to everyone via Rajya Sabha's portal." The senior Congress leader also said that he hasn't used that number "since last four years," reported news agency ANI. Talking to the news agency, Singh also dared Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to "take action against him if he is involved in any anti-national activities." Earlier, Pune police said that they are likely to question Digvijaya Singh as his number has been found in one of the letters exchanged by the naxals. In an earlier set of letters, the police had also unearthed a purported plot to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Talking to media, on reports of Congress leader Digvijaya Singh's number appearing in the letters, Pune DCP said that "On basis of probe,some letters were recovered. In those letters,few mobile numbers have been found,we're investigating(sic)."

The alleged letters exchanged by naxal leaders had one letter which involved the plan to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi, found Pune police while investigating the Bhima Koregaon violence case which has already resulted in the arrests of certain high-profile activists including Varavara Rao, Sudha Bharadwaj and  Gautam Navlakha among others.
