Counting of votes has begun in Ichhawar, Sehore, Narsinghgarh, Biaora, Rajgarh, Khilchipur Vidhan Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh.

Bhopal, December 11: The counting of votes for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2018 has begun and the clear results are expected to be out by late afternoon. We are bringing you Live updates on the results for six MP Vidhan Sabha constituencies - Ichhawar, Sehore, Narsinghgarh, Biaora, Rajgarh, Khilchipur. It looks like a neck and neck contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress as the exit polls have not been able to clearly predict as to which party will win. While some exit polls have given the BJP an upper hand, others have given the Congress an upper hand. Voting for the MP Assembly polls was held on November 28 in a single phase. Icchawar Assembly Seat

The Ichhawar seat in MP had been a BJP dominated seat till the previous Assembly polls in 2013 when the Congress' Shailendra Ramesh Chandra Patel won it. The Congress has fielded him again this election and it will be interesting to see if he can hold his ground. The BJP has fielded Karan Singh Verma on this seat while the BSP and AAP have fielded Rajesh Jangde and Dinesh Nagar Reporter respectively.

Sehore Assembly Seat

The Sehore seat in MP has seen different parties in power over the years. Last election, Sudesh Rai had won this seat as an Independent candidate. This year, Rai has been fielded by the BJP and was up against Surendra Singh Thakur of the Congress and Krishna Pal Singh Baghel of the AAP.

Narsinghgarh Assembly Seat

The Narsighgarh seat was won by Congress leader Girish Bhandari in the MP Assembly Polls 2013. This year, the Congress has fielded the MLA yet again. Bhandari is up against BJP's Rajyavardhan Singh and BSP's Shivnarayan.

Biaora Assembly Seat

The Biaora seat in MP has seen a juggle between the Congress and the BJP every passing election. The 2013 poll was won by BJP's Narayan Singh Panwar, who has been fielded by the party this year as well. Panwar is up against Govardhan Dangi of the Congress and Gopal Singh Bhilala of the BSP.

Rajgarh Assembly Seat

The Rajgarh seat in MP was taken by Amar Singh Yadav of the BJP. The party has fielded him yet again this election. Yadav contested the 2018 polls against Bapusingh Tanwar of the Congress and Thakur J.S. Parmar of the BSP.

Khilchipur Assembly Seat

The Khilchipur seat has mostly been a Congress dominated seat. However, the 2013 election was won by Hajarilal Dangi of the BJP, who has been fielded by the party this election too. Dangi is up against Priyavrat Singh of the Congress. Singh had won this seat in 2003 and 2008.
