Election Commission of India has declared the final results of Giridih Lok Sabha constituency today. Bidyut Baran Mahato of BJP has been announced the winner. All the 14 Lok Sabha constituencies in Jharkhand will go to poll in four phases. The seats of Giridih, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur and Singhbhum would go to polls in the sixth phase which is scheduled to take place on May 12. The voting in the state will be held in the 4th phase, 5th phase, 6th phase and 7th phases of the Lok Sabha elections. Out of the 14, 3 seats will go to polls on April 29, 4 constituencies on May 6; another 4 segments on May 12; and 3 seats on May 19. The results will be declared on May 23.

In the Lok Sabha Elections 2014, Bidyut Baran Mahato of the BJP had won the Jamshedpur seat by defeating Ajay Kumar of the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik). Mahato had won the seat by 464,153 votes while Kumar managed to get 364,277 votes.
