The phase-I voting for the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 is taking place on April 11, 2019. The Election Commission of India (ECI) on March 10, announced the schedule of Lok Sabha Elections 2019. Voting for the General Elections will take place in seven phases across the country to decide the names of 543 Members of Parliament (MPs). The polling will take place from April 11 to May 19. The Model Code of Conduct immediately has come into the force after the announcement of election dates.

Along with Lok Sabha Elections, voting will also take place in this phase for Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Odisha Assembly Elections 2019. A total of 900 million voters are expected to cast their vote this General Election across 10 lakh polling stations.
