New Delhi, April 22: Sapna Chaudhary on Monday campaigned for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Manoj Tiwari in Delhi. Tiwari is contesting the Lok Sabha elections 2019 from North-East Delhi constituency. While talking to media, Chaudhary refuted reports of joining the BJP. Last month, reports surfaced that the participant of the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ had joined the Congress and would be contesting from Mathura Lok Sabha Constituency against sitting MP and Bollywood actress Hema Malini. However, the Haryanavi dancer denied the reports. She had said, “I have not joined the Congress party. The photograph with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is old. I am not going to campaign for any political party.”

The North East Delhi Lok Sabha Constituency is one of the seven parliamentary seats in the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi. Voting on this seat will take place in the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha Polls on May 12. The constituency will witness a triangular contest between Congress, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the BJP. The grand old party has fielded Sheila Dikshit, while the AAP has given the ticket to Dilip Pandey.

Meanwhile, Tiwari is the sitting MP from this Lok Sabha constituency. Voting for the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 will take place across India in seven phases from April to May 19. The counting of votes will take place on May 23, which is the General Election Result Day.
