Delhi, August 10: A gang of robbers attacked a businessman in East Delhi a few weeks back with the expectation to get rich by Rs 5 lakh each, however when they checked the bag they had snatched, they found only one rupee as share. According to a Hindustan Times report, to add to the woes of the robbers, two of them were arrested and the remaining three were identified by the special staff of Shahdara district police.

The businessman is a 43-year-old resident of Shahdara who runs a factory that makes foam and jacket material. The mastermind who had planned the crime was a regular customer of the businessman. A full recee was conducted, and they planned to intercept the businessman on his way home.

On that day, the prime accused had seen the businessman making huge transactions as well, so expectation was that he will be carrying home Rs 25-30 lakh in cash that evening. The big bag further raised the hopes of the robber. “My bag appeared thick because of clothes and a tiffin box,” said the businessman to HT, requesting anonymity because he fears he may be targeted again.
