RBI sets rupee reference rate at 63.3823 against US dollar

Mumbai, Jan 05 (PTI) The Reserve Bank of India todayfixed the reference rate of the rupee at 63.3823 against theUS dollar and 76.5024 for the euro.The corresponding rates were 63.3914 and 76.2472,on yeserday.The according to an RBI statement, the exchange ratesfor the pound and the yen against the rupee were 86.0225 and56.06 per 100 yens, respectively, based on reference rates forthe dollar and cross-currency quotes at noon.The SDR-rupee figure will be based on this rate, thestatement added.
