Beyoncé surely has heads turning with her bold style statements and sartorial outfits. This time, again the singer entered looking like queen at the second Wearable Art Gala. The gala was hosted by Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles. The theme for the Gala this year was ‘From WACO to Wakanda’, owing to the wide scale impact of Black Panther on popular culture. The iconic singer and her daughter Blue Ivy channelled Nubian princesses for the special occasion. The singer wore a custom gold gown created by Indian couture duo Falguni Shane Peacock.

The gown took more than 10 days to be created. Beyoncé's metallic gown with panels mimicked the armour worn by armies, ending in yards of gold fabric and the exaggerated train pooled around her feet making her look like an exotic version of princess emerging from the sand dunes. Beyoncé accessorised huge angular danglers with utmost confidence. Her sleek hair and thread tiara further accentuated her look. The queen Bey’s daughter, Blue Ivy’s appearance upstaged her mother wearing a matching gold dress and wig. Twining mother-daughter duo looked totally precious and managed to grab many eyeballs.

The Indian designers worked on perfecting the look with Beyonce’s long-time stylist Marni Senofonte. This is not the first time the husband-wife pair have created a look for Beyoncé. They curated her look in her ‘Formation’ video. Beyoncé has also sported custom-made outfits by Indian designer duo Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla in British rock band Coldplay’s music video, Hymn for the Weekend. It is a proud moment for the Indian designer duo Falguni Shane Peacock to dress the enigmatic beauty for the second time.
