Following the show, Sushmita spoke to the press about her experience at the Lakme Fashion Week saying, “I’m a big fan of the saree and I’m talking about the traditional saree. It drapes a woman and embraces her power of suggestion – nothing sexier, I believe. It was beautiful for them to give me this opportunity to walk for something that is far more than just a fashion show for Lake Fashion Week. It represents sustainable fashion, which in so many ways a celebration of what human impact can do to your environment and to your social responsibility, both of which I have deep respect for.” Sushmita was surely a highlight from the second day of the fest.
