Shirdi, October 18: Security has been tightened in Shirdi on the occasion of the 100th year of Sai Baba’s Samadhi. The saint took Samadhi on Dusshera in 1918. To mark the occasion, a Sai Darbar has been constructed and the three-day celebration will be concluded on October 19 in Shirdi. As per reports, around 10 lakh devotees likely to attend the celebrations. According to a report published in DNA, over 750 hotels and 1,500 rooms are full, and over 500 CCTV cameras are installed to boost the security in the shrine.

Bomb squads are also present at every corner of the temple to avoid any unfortunate incident. The trust was established in 1922 with a sum of Rs 3,200. During the Sai Baba Punyatithi celebrations, devotees in huge numbers throng the Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir to seek blessings of the lord. Sai Baba Samadhi day is celebrated every year from October 15. This year the celebrations are on a grand scale since it is the 100th centenary celebration. Sai Baba died on October 15, 1918. He is known as the one worshipped by all as nobody knew his real name or religion.

Earlier this year, the image of Sai Baba could be seen on the wall of Dwarkamai in Shirdi Sai Temple, said, devotees. According to reports, Sai Baba's image was seen on the wall for about three hours.
