Animals have always faced the ire of human development, especially constructions. From the loss of wildlife habitat to encroaching their homes, animals are losing their right to live. There have been multiple incidents wherein animals couldn't find their original habitat on returning. In a similar incident, video of an elephant and its calf being trapped inside a walled campus has gone viral. Vaibhav Singh, IFS shared the video on Twitter with the caption, "A mother and her calf after being trapped inside a walled campus situated in Rawasan-Sonanadi corridor, try to squeeze their way out!!" While Rawasan-Sonanadi corridor is in Uttarakhand, it is not clear if the incident was recorded at the same place. Elephant Climbs Tree to Pluck Jackfruit, Smashes and Gobbles It Up, Watch Video.

The video shows the elephant and its calf trying to get out of the iron gates of the campus. They also try to get through the wall, but with no effect. People in the background can be heard saying that the animals won't manage to get out but eventually they do. They try to go around looking for an opening in the wall, but don't manage to find any. With no way left out, the elephant pushes the wall near the gate. The clip shows the wall falling to the ground and the elephant and its calf walking over it.

The video was quick to go viral on social media platforms with people praising the elephant's decision to break the wall. Some also commented on how animals ae trapped inside the human settlement and do not have a place to call their home anymore.
