LatestLY Fact Check is a dedicated vertical of LatestLY that has been combating misinformation, disinformation and misleading narratives in the digital space since 2018. Launched as part of our continued commitment to responsible journalism, our fact-checking initiative identifies viral rumours, deepfakes, doctored visuals, hoaxes and misleading claims that circulate online, particularly on social media platforms. We aim to present verified, unbiased and evidence-based information to the public.
In a time where fake news spreads faster than facts, LatestLY Fact Check plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of what reaches our readers. We apply rigorous verification methods, including reverse image searches, official source confirmations, public record analysis, and expert inputs where required. Our team adheres to transparency, impartiality, and journalistic integrity in every investigation we publish.
As an extension of LatestLY, founded by the Pittie Group and In10 Media Network in 2018, this fact-checking vertical is backed by a robust editorial team, modern newsroom tools and a reader-first approach. LatestLY is part of the Google News Initiative (GNI) Indian Languages Program aims to help news organisations, especially those publishing in Indian languages, thrive in the digital age. Our mission is to empower audiences with factual information, so they can form their own informed opinions and engage meaningfully in public discourse. We encourage digital responsibility and open access to truth, free from bias and speculation.
