On Tuesday, Congress gave notices for bringing a privilege motion against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Lok Sabha for making "misleading statements" on the Rafale deal in the House. And now Amul, the dairy brand like always has come up with their satirical take on the deal and the controversy around it. The brand which never fails to show off their witty side in a cartoon with the caption: 'Pass or Rafail'. The ad which shows their iconic Amul girl flying a jet also reads: 'Eat at jet speed'.

Amul tweeted the ad with the caption: '#Amul Topical: The Rafale deal controversy'. The deal that has attracted the wrath of the opposition was inked directly with the French government in September 2016. The Rafale deal worth 7.87 billion euro promises to bring 3 billion euros of work to India in the next 7-8 years, according to top defence ministry officials. And as a part of the contract, India will get the latest weapons like Meteor and Scalp missiles.

During the No-Confidence Motion debate on the controversial deal, Congress President Rahul Gandhi had accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of being a part of the corruption int he Rafale deal.

According to the contract, India will also get a five-year support package which will assure high availability of the fighter. The deal was closed at 328 million euros after many negotiations. A year later, in November 2017, Congress alleged scam in Rafale fighter jets deal.

The Opposition said that the contract violated the procurement procedure and blamed the government for promoting their 'crony capitalist friends'. Congress also alleged that the deal has caused an 'insurmountable' loss to the exchequer. The deal has a 50 per cent offset clause, of which most is to be executed by a joint venture company of the Reliance Defence owned by Anil Ambani.
