Video of a woman dumping newborn puppies in a dumpster has gone viral on social media. The clip shows the woman coming out of her vehicle with a plastic bag in her hand. She can be initially seen looking into a dumpster for recyclables, after which she shuts it and opens the trashcan. She puts the bag inside and goes back to her vehicle. It happened behind a Napa Auto Parts store in Coachella where temperatures are soaring high. The incident which was caught on CCTV cameras was released by the Riverside County Animal Services. The video went viral garnering sharp criticisms against the women. Police are in look for the woman who would face charges for animal cruelty. Officials later saw the woman driving into the parking lot nearby. It was passerby who saved the animals which otherwise would have survived the heat. Riverside County Animal Service Commander Chris Mayer told NBC LA, "The Good Samaritan played a major role in saving these puppies' lives. His actions were humane and heroic. There is no excuse for dumping puppies. Especially in today's age when we or other shelters would be willing to get these animals to foster parents or rescue partners. The report quoted John Welsh, the chief of the Riverside County Department of Animal Services as saying, "You can clearly see the bag of puppies being dumped into the dumpster. There's clearly not a level of intelligence that's going to be used if you're going to toss animals."
