Producer Sanjay Gupta has strongly reacted to the alleged government summons of Netflix India’s content head over the web series ‘IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack’.
Producer Sanjay Rajprakash Gupta didn’t hold back his frustration over the controversy surrounding Netflix India’s series IC 814 - The Kandahar Hijack. He slammed the situation with a no-nonsense outburst, declaring, "What utter fukn nonsense!!!" His heated reaction came on the heels of the Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry summoning Netflix India’s content head, Monika Shergill, after a social media storm erupted. The series, based on Flight Into Fear by Devi Sharan and Srinjoy Chowdhury, has been criticised for changing the hijackers' names to "Bhola" and "Shankar." Created by Anubhav Sinha and Trishant Srivastava, the show recounts the 1999 hijacking of Indian Airlines Flight 814.
