The re-release of Sohum Shah's critically acclaimed film Tumbbad has been a success at the Indian box office. On its opening day, the film earned an impressive INR 1.65 crore, and on the second day, it saw a significant increase in collections, reaching INR 2.65 crore. As a result, the film's total box office earnings in India now stand at INR 4.30 crore. Directed by Rahi Anil Barve, Tumbbad was originally released in 2018 and has since gained a cult following. Set in the 1920s, the film tells the story of three generations of a family who face the consequences of building a temple for Hastar, a forbidden goddess.
