Lana Del Rey’s extended performance at Coachella this year has left the organisers of the music festival facing financial trouble. The spokesperson for the City of Indio told TMZ that the singer’s set exceeded the allotted time by 13 minutes, featuring 19 songs and a surprise performance by Camila Cabello. As a result of the “Summertime Sadness” hitmaker’s violation of the law, a hefty fine was imposed, which is $28,000. Performers at Coachella are expected to adhere to strict timing rules, which Lana unfortunately failed to meet. Under an agreement with Goldenvoice, the festival incurs a fixed fine of $20,000 for the first five minutes past curfew, followed by an additional fine of $1,000 per minute thereafter.
