On November 10, 2024, Dolores Park in San Francisco hosted a fun and exciting Dev Patel lookalike contest, attracting a large crowd of spectators. Contestants recreated some of Patel’s signature looks, from his role in Slumdog Millionaire to his latest film Monkey Man. Jaipreet Singh Hundal from San Jose took home the top prize, winning a USD 50 prize, flowers and a small monkey statue, which paid tribute to the award-winning star’s directorial debut Monkey Man, reports San Francisco Chronicle. The contest was inspired by a similar event, the Timothée Chalamet lookalike contest, which took place in New York City.
