Actress Minu Muneer had accused Mollywood actor Jayasurya of sexually assaulting her on the sets of De Ingottu Nokkiye. A complaint was filed against the actor, and an FIR was registered on August 28. On August 30, a second FIR was registered against the actor.┬аThe Malayalam star finally broke his silence on the sexual assault allegations with a statement released on his Instagram handle. Jayasurya, who is currently in America, stated that "two false allegations" of sexual harassment have been filed against him, causing great trouble to him and his family. The actor denied the allegations and revealed that he would be taking legal action against the false accusations. He concluded his statement by saying, "Thank you to those who contributed to making this birthday the most painful one.
