A deeply heartbreaking incident has hit the Kannada film industry due to a devastating loss in the family of KGF 2 co-director Kirtan Nadagouda. The filmmaker and his family are mourning the passing of his four-year-old son, Sonarsh K Nadagouda. The baby died due to a tragic elevator accident that took place at their residence in Hyderabad. Kirtan first confirmed his demise to NewsFirst. Following the incident, Telugu star and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle and wrote,"The tragic death of director Sri Keerthan Nadagowda's son is heartbreaking.T he tragedy that befell the family of Sri Keerthan Nadagowda, who is making his debut as a director in Telugu and Kannada, has left me deeply saddened. Chiranjeevi Sonarsh K Nadagowda, son of Sri Keerthan and Smt. Samriddhi Patel, passed away. I was deeply saddened to learn about the death of four and a half year old Sonarsh who got stuck in a lift. I express my deepest condolences to Sri Keerthan and Smt. Samriddhi.
