Sunil Grover can easily be called one of the most beloved comic performers on Indian television today. However, his journey to fame was far from easy. Before making it big with Kapil Sharma’s Comedy Nights With Kapil, Sunil worked extremely hard in showbiz to carve a space for himself. Actress Savita Bhatti, wife of the late iconic comedian and actor Jaspal Bhatti, recently shared a revelation about Sunil Grover’s entry into showbiz and revealed that it was she and her husband who discovered his talent. She said that Sunil was studying at the Department of Indian Theatre at the time when they were auditioning for a serial. She recalled how around 400–500 people had auditioned for the role, and Sunil was probably one of the one or two who were selected. When asked what made Sunil stand out, Savita Bhatti said, "He is outstanding in his mimicry. He mimicked Mehar Mittal sahab, and we were laughing and in splits." She further revealed how Sunil’s television journey went on and off for a while. However, after Vivek Shauq made the shift to the big screen, things changed, and Sunil became the "main guy". Savita Bhatti also thanked Sunil, adding that he continued to respect them in the same way as before. ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 17’: Krushna Abhishek Reveals Why He Changed His Name From Abhishek to Krushna; Leaves Amitabh Bachchan and Sunil Grover in Splits With His Hilarious Banter.
