Furqan, from Gadha village, was dropping off his aunt for the Karmabhoomi Express when the assault occurred. Despite informing the officers about his prior abdominal surgery, Furqan was beaten with a stick, causing his stomach to burst open and his intestines to protrude. Furqan was rushed to Pupri's Primary Health Center and later referred to SKMCH Muzaffarpur for better treatment. The incident, captured on video, shows two men carrying Furqan as a crowd followed. The brutality sparked outrage among commuters, leading to the vandalism of the station, including damage to the iron grill and glass gate of the superintendent’s office. Injuries were reported in the ensuing scuffle. The cause of the incident remains unclear.
