White House Says G7 Leaders Will Take Measures to Stop Russia Benefitting from IMF, World Bank
US President Joe Biden, on Friday said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is an aggressor and he must pay the price. In an address, Biden said that the US will downgrade Russian trade status, ban imports of Russian alcohol, seafood, and diamonds.
White House Today said that President Biden and G7 Leaders from Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom as well as the European Union will announce new economic actions to hold Putin accountable for his continued assault on Ukraine and further isolate Russia from the global financial system. They will implement actions consistent with their national processes.
