Union Minister and BJP candidate Piyush Goyal, on Tuesday, April 30, filed his nomination papers from the Mumbai North Lok Sabha constituency. Accompanied by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, Goyal led a grand roadshow through the streets of Mumbai before filing his nominations. Other parties have yet to announce candidates for this parliamentary seat. Four out of the six Vidhan Sabha segments in Mumbai North are under BJP's stronghold. In the 2019 election, Piyush Goyal secured victory over Congress candidate Urmila Matondkar from Mumbai North.
