Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced the ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh to the next kin of the deceased, who died after a towering hoarding advertised alongside a petrol pump in Mumbai collapsed amid rain and gutsy winds. CM Shinde said 57 individuals have been rescued and rushed to Rajawadi Hospital for urgent medical attention. The incident occurred at around 4.30 pm near Chheda Nagar Gymkhana in the Ghatkopar area when the weather in the city suddenly changed with a dust storm and rain. Over 100 people were initially trapped after the nearly 100-foot-tall illegal billboard fell on the petrol pump.
