The Himachal Pradesh government has declared a school holiday in the Shimla district. As per the official notification, all educational institutions and Anganwadis in Shimla district will remain shut on Wednesday, August 23 and Thursday, August 24. The holiday has been announced in a 'Red' alert for heavy rainfall in the state.
